Required contents of a notice

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  2. Identification of the material on our service that is claimed to be infringing, with the URL or sufficient detail to locate it.
  3. Your contact information (name, address, telephone, email).
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Counter-notice

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice containing the elements specified in 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3). We will forward it to the original complainant and may restore the content unless they file a court action within 10–14 business days.

Repeat-infringer policy

We terminate accounts of users who are repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances, consistent with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i).

False notices

Knowingly submitting a materially false claim of infringement may subject you to liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
